Coffee improvisations by Maria Skorodumova
Russian artist Maria Skorodumova (nee Zaitseva) was born in 1981 in the city of Kurgan. In 1995 she graduated from Kurgan art school. In 1998 Maria participated in the competition “Talented Children of Russia” (Moscow), where she won 3rd place in the category “Painting, Graphics.” In 2004 she graduated from the Faculty of Psychology of Kurgan State University. Maria participated in exhibitions of amateur artists of Kurgan region. In 2014 she participated in the international competition Art Salon 2014. In September and October 2014 Maria had solo exhibition “Improvisation on a theme of coffee” in Ivanovo. Illustrations of the author can be seen in 7 books, on postcards. Maria Skorodumova actively participates in creative competitions, festivals and projects. Conducts online course on development of creative imagination on her author’s program. Maria works in several directions: pointillism, symbolism, naive art. Techniques used by the author, are also different: tempera painting, mixed media, drawing, collage, batik.
