Hologram painting by Uttaporn Nimmalaikaew
Uttaporn Nimmalaikaew – a talented mixed media artist from Thailand. The young artist came up with a completely new technology to create three-dimensional images. The paintings look like a hologram but is a painting on 5 layers of netting. This technology has so far not only used for artistic purposes, but maybe this way will encourage scientists to new inventions in the future. In order to create a portrait, alongside with oils he uses several layers of transparent fabric, strings, woods, mesh and thread. Due to the fact that the image is on several layers of fabric, depending on the angle of view, it looks as if alive.
Artist’s statement – “The feelings of love, bond and attachment toward those beloved ones in my life make me frightened, worried and fear of loosing as seeing their physical worning out and decadence througout my life. Which, in fact, every life arises and must pass away one day according to the truth of life that has the controversy under the laws that make everything balanced”.
