In the works of contemporary Russian artist Mikhail Kaban-Petrov, red occupies the central place, and the this color acts as a symbolic message to the world, alarming and anxious. In general, the artist’s paintings are always difficult to explain. Because modern art, like music, acts on unconscious, and almost immediately. An unsophisticated spectator (like most of us) relies on the criteria – whether the painting touches or not … And paintings by Mikhail Kaban-Petrov touch.

For many designers red color is one of the most beloved. This rich, vivid color in the spectrum is the first, and this is why it is the most active. That’s why active, energetic, excitable people prefer this color. The color represents the energy, the will to victory, a breakthrough power, and it always gets what it wants (way to achieve depends on the shade). It loves to be first, but not always successful because of its destructive qualities.

Having the power to love and hate passionately, Red forces us to be active. In addition, this color controls the sexual relationship, and can push for gender convergence, even when there isn’t a true desire. Passion is its positive aspect and a negative one – a perversion.
