Born in 1962 in the village of Holmogory of Arkhangelsk Oblast, Nikolay Dmitruk is a talented Russian artist and photographer. He has been photographing for more than twenty years. However, according to Nikolay Dmitruk himself, he is not a photographer, but a person who has a camera. Indeed, camera for him – the same as a brush, which helps display impressions and thoughts of the artist.
Nikolay Dmitruk graduated from the Lomonosov artistic carving school. The art knowledge helps the photographer create photo shots that resemble still life paintings. After serving in the Navy he settled in Novodvinsk and began working with children. In particular, in the Children’s Cultural House as a graphic designer and to this day, is performing the scenery and costumes for performances. Also, he graduated from Moscow People’s University. Since 1993, he became interested in photography.

More than ten years working as art director in Novodvinskaya urban cultural center, he has participated in many regional art and photo exhibitions. Nikolay Dmitruk is a member of the Association of Novodvinsk artists, and works for advertising agencies, creating calendars, posters and interiors. The master’s works are in private collections in Germany, Austria, and the USA.
