Well-known and talented artist Yuri Arsenyuk has found his own way in art. In 1980s, new significant milestone for him becomes a study in the studio of Professor, People’s Artist of the USSR Ilya Glazunov, in Moscow State Art Institute of Surikov. Within its walls, and thanks to Ilya Glazunov, students learned the true classical school. There, the world famous artist gave them skills, great spirit of true art, and realism, which, like wings, help the artists fly. Thus, they focused on the great works of the Italian Renaissance, classic Russian and Western European art. Climbing the stairs of excellence, he, while still a student, creates portraits, landscapes, and exquisite floral still lifes. Yuri Arsenyuk – a member of the International Federation of Artists of UNESCO (1994), and Professor of the Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture. In addition, he is the head of art studio of Moscow State Academy of Surikov, created by Ilya Glazunov for the Study of Technology of the old masters of Europe and Russia.

Yuri Arsenyuk was born January 24, 1955 in Ivano-Frankovsk region. He studied at the Vizhnitsy College of Applied Arts (1970-1974). After leaving his native city, in 1976-1980-ies, he attended the evening drawing classes at the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts, and visited personal studio-workshop of Professor VI Suvorov, a pupil of Soviet artist DN Kardovsky. Later, in 1980, he entered the Moscow Academy of Arts named after Surikov.

His thesis “The morning before the fight” (oil on canvas, 1986) received a score of “excellent” and admiration of the state commission. Immediately after graduating from the Moscow State Academy of Surikov, a talented student Yuri Arsenyuk became a teacher at the same Academy, in the workshop of portrait painting. From 1987-1989 he created a series of paintings “Russian epic.”
Yuri Arsenyuk is a member of numerous national and international exhibitions. His works are in private collections and museums in Russia and abroad.
