Evdokiya gold embroidery art

Master of gold embroidery Evdokiya works in her studio “Gold embroidery” in Sevastopol. Evdokiya has been engaged in the goldwork and applied art since childhood. With age, her love of crafts has grown even more. She entered the Stavropol Art School, from which she successfully graduated.
The desire to learn more led her to the northern capital of Russia – St. Petersburg. Evdokiya arrived in St. Petersburg, the city where she has lived for 15 years. There she finished the courses on ancient spool sewing, workshop “Ubrus” of Herzen Pedagogical University, the department of arts and crafts. Her thesis was the emblem of the University, which Evdokiya made in the technique of gold embroidery. Talented artist of applied art participated in various exhibitions. Besides, her works decorate churches in Russia. Evdokiya conducts master classes, teaching visitors. In 2014, she left St. Petersburg for Sevastopol, where she currently lives with her family.

Ordinary plasticine turns into a real work of art in the hands of a young and beautiful Anastasia Volkova. Native of Orenburg, she has created a stunning work on the fairy tale of ST Aksakov “The Scarlet Flower”. Graduate of the Orenburg State University, Anastasia Volkova used one hundred boxes of plasticine to create unusual paintings.

After reading a story, she identified eleven major scenes, bought a cardboard measuring 30 by 60 centimeters, five packs of clay (then Nastya had no idea that it would take twenty times more!) and started to work. The first work took a month, the last picture was made for a few sleepless nights. The most difficult was to portray the face and emotions.

Galle developed a special technique of making decorative vases made of laminated glass, which came to be called by his name – “Galle”. Galle – a unique personality, extremely talented and educated man, who gave his name to a direction in the development of arts and crafts.
Emile Galle was both scientist and botanist, chemist, writer, artist and philosopher. In the mid-seventies of the XIX century Galle led the family company of parents, producing mirrors, glass and ceramics. World fame came to Galle for his famous style of unmatched vases. Galle Glass for over one and a half centuries, enjoys extraordinary popularity not only among art connoisseurs, but also lovers of fine interiors and comfort.

A relatively recent invention of mankind, matches have replaced the flint about two centuries ago, and safety matches appeared only in 1844. However, match holders have neither an inventor nor a homeland, as they appeared simultaneously in several countries, in the era before 1900. Matchbox holders were made for the living room, office, bedroom, and of course, kitchen. They were in the form of figures and grandiose compositions and made of different materials, such as gold, nickel, silver, brass, aluminum, bronze, iron and even porcelain. And some unique memorable “Match Safes” are a real work of art. Even nowadays, the same as previously, these cute little things are passed as heirlooms. Besides, they are popular among connoisseurs and collectors of antiques. Undoubtfully, vintage matchbox holders, carrying the spirit of others and passing time, beauty and grace, will be always valued.

Doll master Olga Yegupets

Talented doll master Olga Yegupets – member of Union of artists of Russia (2007). Born Olga Sergeyeva, into a family of artists, in Kazakhstan, she grew up and studied in the northern town of Russia – Nadym. In 1994, Olga entered Abramtsevo Industrial Arts College where she studied artistic ceramics to become an artist-master of arts and crafts. After graduating from the College with honors in 2000, she entered Moscow Pedagogical University, faculty of Art graphics. And she graduated from it with a degree in Applied and folk art. Creativity of Olga Yegupets became very popular among collectors and lovers of art dolls, both in Russia and abroad. When making her cute dolls, Olga uses a variety of materials, including plastics, Paper clay, and others. Besides, all dolls are made by hand, without the use of pre-printed forms. And, of course, each work is made in one piece.

Talented St. Petersburg based ceramic artist Olga Maltseva has created a beautiful collection of dolls. They are the characters of the wonderful fairy tale “Alice in Wonderland” – Alice, Hatter, the March Hare and the Cheshire Cat. All works are performed entirely by hand without the use of preprinted forms. Engobe painted and glazed, there were two high-temperature sintering. Soon the company will join Blue Caterpillar and the Queen of Hearts. Olga Maltseva lives and works in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Chinese street art which has recently appeared in the city of Guilin, south China, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, would be better called tree graffiti. On the trunks of local tress appeared realistic animals, which look like living creatures – crawling, climbing, and simply resting on the tree trunks and branches. Nature and animals have become the main inspiration for unknown street artists in the Chinese city of Guilin. Besides, each painting is a unique composition constructed in accordance with the form of trunks, with great sensitivity to their shape, texture, and growths. More than 20 trunks got their own animals, and strolling through the park you can find Lifelike tigers, zebras, lizards, giraffes, and so on. Some animals and insects painted of a larger size to be seen by passers-by.
