Russian artist Eleanora Almeteva (Xenia) was born in the Eastern Siberia – Chita region. “My childhood passed in Ostashkov – a small provincial town on Lake Seliger, touching in a unique beauty, which laid the foundations of my perception of the world” – says in her autobiography the artist. Her art works emit some special magical inner warmth that is simply impossible not to feel.
Since 1988, Eleanora lives and works in St. Petersburg. She studied at the Russian State University named after AI Herzen, the Institute of Religious Art of the Orthodox Church at a farmstead of Optina Hermitage. Eleanora Almeteva has had more than two dozen solo exhibitions in Russia, Germany, Finland, participated in collective exhibitions in St. Petersburg, Moscow, Hamburg, Strasbourg and other cities. The artist is loved and recognized not only in Russia but also abroad.
