Tandem of talented artists Tom Francirek & Andre Oliveira has created a gallery of collectible dolls known to all doll collectors and art lovers. Each of their unique handmade dolls exists in a single copy, which explains its price of $ 5000. Tom Francirek & Andre Oliveira Art dolls are created from the finest and rich materials: fine silks, vintage laces, silk flowers, angora mohair, and unique porcelain. A particular attention should be paid to doll eyes that are painstakingly drawn by hand with multiple colors in order to achieve a realistic look. This Pia has beautiful hand painted hazel eyes. Her haute couture garment is sewn by hand, the bodice is made of silver metallic silk organza and black antique Chantilly lace.
The sleeves and gown are sewed of antique champagne colored silk gauze, antique cream lace and antique silk tulle. Pia’s perfect silhouette in entwined antique lace, adorned with the delicate, antique pleated cotton organdy. A beautiful antique black velvet ribbon is looped into a bow at her hip and the lower part of her gown is enveloped in a gossamer haze of antique black silk tulle. Her stockings are made of antique silk tulle and painstakingly polka-dotted by hand. A delicate vintage pearl necklace completes this one of kind designed, haute couture dress.
“Mira” #2 is dressed in an antique gold lacework bodice and crimson corset. She is dripping in beautiful gold silk with layers of iridescent tangerine/gold silk and deep crimson silk Dupioni. The dress is edged with tiny rouched trim made of the same silk. The dress trails and trains. She comes perfectly accessorized with her crimson hat trimmed with vintage flowers and trims. Porcelain Art Dolls by Tom Francirek and Andre Oliveira are produced in very limited quantities: usually about 10-15 copies. No two dolls, as each dress is sewn and decorated by hand and each doll has her hair color and style. Each doll eyes carefully drawn by hand using many different colors and shades, which gives very realistic look, breathes life into them. Authors are constantly working on improving their skills, which is reflected in each doll.
