Buildings with eyes instead of balconies, palaces with the zoos on the roof, alloy gates in the form of a dragon, lacy towers, dinosaurs, lying down on the roof of a building of an ordinary city, the cathedral, only vaguely reminiscent of the cathedral – the man in Barcelona was allowed everything and he really tried.

Talent of Gaudi was noticed by another eccentric, very rich Barcelona industrialist Eusebi Guell – he allowed Gaudi to build whatever he wants, wherever he wants to, and whenever he wants to. So Gaudi received the sole disposal of Barcelona.

June 7, 1926 Antonio Gaudi, as usual, was walking around the city, looking at the clouds – he believed them to be the perfect creation of nature, and received creative ideas from them.

In the city has just appeared the first tram. And the old man did not notice the iron monster … None cabby, no motorist did help the poor in the accident, they took him for a beggar, unable to pay the fare. He was taken to a hospital for the poor by Barcelona custody order.

Three days the citizens were searching for their Gaudi. But no one had thought to look for him in the hospital for the poor. Where he died without regaining consciousness.

And then the Barcelona City Hall ordered all cabbies and taxi drivers throughout the city now and for ever wear a color of mourning for the great Gaudi and color of shame for human callousness.
