A talented artist from Greece, Charis Tsevis never ceases to amaze us with original art projects. He has recently presented a series of colorful illustrations, which he created from wires. With such an unusual way, he expressed his admiration for the opportunities that wire gives to humanity. Charis Tsevis likes to experiment, he has already surprised us with mosaics of images and computer “icons”. Now came the pictures of the cables and wires. Charis Tsevis emphasizes that, despite the rapid development of wireless communication, people today are still very dependent on … sockets and wires.

The Liberty. ‘American Legacy’. Bullet art by David Palmer

Bullet art by David Palmer
‘American Legacy’ highlights the significance of arms in America, both historically, militarily and individually. In reverence to Liberty, it acknowledges the necessity of arms to defend it, while questioning the many military actions waged in its name.
Meanwhile, American contemporary artist, 60-year-old California resident David Palmer has created a gallery of portraits of celebrities from unusual medium – bullet shells. Noteworthy, he depicts mostly the famous people who died from gunshot wounds – John Lennon, Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy. First, after collecting enough bullet casings, the artist puts them together to create a metal canvas. Next, using a small hand torch darkens the ends of the bullet casings, creating incredibly detailed portraits. And the result is stunning – using such a seemingly inappropriate art medium like bullets, he depicts their victims. According to Palmer, he hopes viewers will “see the miracles that can arise from choosing to create rather than destroy.”

A mosaic dance of pipestone, Clear Quartz Crystal Balls, Aventurine, Lapis Lazuli and Beach Pebbles

Most ancient sites around the globe are built from natural stone, containing immortal, timeless quality in its sacred geometry. Canadian duo of artists Andreas Kunert and Naomi Zettl (husband and wife) work with such ancient, timeless and permanent medium as natural stone. The artists create very interesting and complex stone mosaic walls. Since her childhood Naomi was mystified by the stone circles and ancient artifacts that she saw meters from her home on the prairies of Saskatchewan. Her fascination with art & archaeology led her to the profession of an artist – she graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 2000, with a major in sculpture and painting. Stones have always been in the life of Andreas since childhood, which he spent near The Rock of Ages Granite Quarry. Andreas is passionate to give stone an articulated form. Both artists – Naomi Zettl & Andreas Kunert are deeply passionate about creating something special from stone.
