Valeri Timofeev plique-a-jour enameling art
Talented Russian jeweler Valery Timofeev (1941, Latvia – 2014, United States) was born in Latvia. He moved to Moscow in 1967 to get the art education. After graduation he got a degree in arts and crafts. Timofeev decided to become a jeweler in 1972, when he saw the work of Rasul Alikhanov, a prominent jeweler artist of Dagestan. In his work Dagestanian jeweler used techniques of engraving, filigree, cloisonn’e enamel. Technical virtuosity of his products inspired Timofeev. In the process of mastering the traditional methods, he studied the technique used by jewelers of the older generations. Works by legendary jewelers Pavel Ovchinikov, Ivan Khlebnikov, working for Faberge, are real masterpieces of plique-a-jour. He studied plique-a-jour enameling art in the museums, read and experimented, learning the secrets of the time.

Talented 30 year-old artist Campana sells his works in the evening on the Croisette in Cannes. Besides, during the day time he paints murals in restaurants, nightclubs, and private homes. According to Jean Claude Campana, his life is full of ups and downs. Meanwhile, in 1985 he successfully participated in art exhibitions in The Walley Finley Gallery in New York, Soho, and Dallas. Noteworthy, Campana entered the list of 100 best French painters.

Born May 21, 1989 in the city of Artyomovsky of Sverdlovsk region, Mikhail Vedernikov (Nemon) – Russian self-taught artist. According to his paintings, the young artist prefers to work in the animal genre, using pastels. Indeed, for all these beautiful drawings he uses pastel, pastel pencils, and Sennelier PastelCard papers. Noteworthy, his best work became a series of drawings “Red on black” of endangered birds and animals. It performed at the art exhibition in the Sverdlovsk region. Mikhail Vedernikov says: “Always knew that I am able to transmit my feelings and emotions through art, but only for more than 6 years ago realized that my tools of impression – Paper and pencil. I am self – taught, inspired by the feelings and emotions, rather than rules and stereotypes. My work – my mood, my state of mind, and my world”.

Born in 1983 in Rostov-on-Don, Maria Kaminskaya graduated from South-Russian State Technical University, with qualification of designer and Interpreter of the German language. In 2001, Maria participated in the exhibition “Young Artists of Don” in Rostov-on-Don, and received the diploma. According to the artist, she has been engaged in painting on silk since 2002.
Meanwhile, in 2006 Maria Kaminskaya moved to Moscow. And the next year, in December 2007, she had her first solo exhibition “Silk Road”.
Maria – member of the Creative Union of Professional Artists (since 2008). She took part in the jubilee exhibition of goods and handicraft in Monaco, as well as in the exhibition “Golden Globe 2008” in “Crocus Expo”, Moscow. The works are in private collections in the cities of Russia, as well as Kishinev, Tbilisi, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Melbourne, Ottawa, Toronto, London, New York and others.

Born 12 March 1946 in Moscow, Koulbak was the second child in the family. His father was a military pilot and his mother looked after the children and the house. In fact, it was she who first noticed Victor’s talent and one day took him to school at the Academy of Fine Arts in Moscow. Koulbak studied in this school for four years and still remembers it with gratitude: “The teachers from the Academy of Fine Arts taught us craft, and methods of teaching were the most classic. They required from us only one – accuracy. I liked it, and was happy”.

Born in 1976 in Lutsk, Ukrainian artist Olga Kvasha graduated from the Lvov Academy of Arts (1999). Her works are in private collections in Ukraine, Russia, Poland, France, Holland, UK, USA, Canada, Japan, and Brazil.
Currently, Olga Kvasha is constantly working with several Ukrainian publishers creating illustrations for children’s books.
Meanwhile, from 1996 to 2012 she took part in 27 exhibitions, including seven solo and 5 international. With incredible warmth Kvasha depicts urban and rural landscapes, panoramas and corners. Contemplating the scenes of her works you will certainly feel no physical presence of a person, even though shown there or not. Her paintings depict children riding a bike, and shepherds looking after their sheep, where grass is neat and mown. And all is peaceful and romantic in this naive world.
