This allowed Jay to open his first Studio at 39 Fifth Avenue in New York City, and his jewelry is recognized on the world’s podiums. Plasticine tales by Levon Abramyan. Armenian artist and sculptor Levon Abramyan (Abrahamyan) lives and works in Yerevan. He graduated from the Art College of Terlemezyan majoring in graphic design, and then Yerevan Fine Arts Academy. Levon is a member of the World Union of Puppeteers. His absolutely stunning plasticine puppets are characters of Armenian fairy tales and cartoons. They are positive, kind, and emotional. In a certain kingdom of a fantastic world, motley and bright, live and act fairy-tale characters, created by the artist – storyteller. His illustrations reveal an amazing and happy plasticine world of trees, roots, leaves, Flowers, meadows and happy characters inhabiting this world. British mixed media artist Anya Stone has 15 years of experience in fine art and design. She makes life-like, detailed miniature sculptures of wildlife out of polymer clay in 1:12 scale and smaller scales. Wood, synthetic fibers or feathers are applied to sculpture to make them look realistic. The sculpture of a gray wolf (in the above picture) is made from polymer clay with different shades of hand blended merino wool applied to the body. The eyes are made of green glass. Height 6cm at the shoulder. Traditionally Lupercus was known as the God of winter and has the ability to transform into a wolf. It is said that his day falls between the 2nd and 15th of February, so he is associated with Valentines day, especially in the times of ancient Rome. Lupercus is sometimes identified with the Roman God Faunus and is a protector of flocks and shepherds who drives away the wolves and dangers of the night.

Vodafone advertisement character ZooZoo

Vodafone ads characters ZooZoos have become a real hit among Facebook, Orkut and Twitter users. There are more than 200 pages on ZooZoos having over 250000 fans, growing daily. The ads were also viewed by thousands of people on YouTube. These cute white creatures with ballooned bodies and egg heads are used to promote various value added services of Vodafone. Although these characters look animated, they are actually humans in Zoozoo costumes. The idea – the story lines and the name belongs to Rajiv Rao. According to Rajiv Rao, National Creative Director of Ogilvy & Mather, they “wanted to make real people look as animated as possible”. Vodafone received the first People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) 2009 Glitterbox Award, for replacing the Pug with more humane alternatives in their ads.

French self-taught sculptor Pierre Matter was born April 4, 1964 in Haut-Rhin, in the valley of Munster. After a rather mystical childhood, he, without conviction, left his studies in math for artistic creation. He tried his hand at gouache, watercolor, was involved in drawing comics and bas-reliefs in stone. He finally found his artistic way in sculpture that has always been his main passion. Pierre Matter has been creating stunning sculptures for more than ten years. His art studio is actually his garage, where he using copper, aluminum, bronze, rubber and everything that comes to hand creates his scrap metal artworks. Steampunk Sculpture by Pierre Matter combines nature and products of industrial world. Some of his sculptures weigh more than six tons.

British artist and sculptor Kevin Francis Gray was born in 1972, in South Armagh, Northern Ireland. Currently the artist lives and works in London and Pietrasanta, Italy. He studied at the National College Of Art and Design in Dublin, Ireland (1995), the School of Art Institute in Chicago (1996), then he completed his MA in Fine Art at Goldsmiths in London (1999). Kevin Francis Gray is a figurative sculptor, who works predominantly with ancient materials like bronze and marble. Since 2001 Bronze and marble sculpture by Kevin Francis Gray has been shown at art exhibitions and galleries in Great Britain, and abroad – Ireland, Brazil, Serbia, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, Austria, Israel, South Korea, France, United States, Germany. He is currently represented by exhibition “Love Story” in Belvedere Museum, Vienna, June 15 – October 5, 2014.
