Evdokiya gold embroidery art

Master of gold embroidery Evdokiya works in her studio “Gold embroidery” in Sevastopol. Evdokiya has been engaged in the goldwork and applied art since childhood. With age, her love of crafts has grown even more. She entered the Stavropol Art School, from which she successfully graduated.
The desire to learn more led her to the northern capital of Russia – St. Petersburg. Evdokiya arrived in St. Petersburg, the city where she has lived for 15 years. There she finished the courses on ancient spool sewing, workshop “Ubrus” of Herzen Pedagogical University, the department of arts and crafts. Her thesis was the emblem of the University, which Evdokiya made in the technique of gold embroidery. Talented artist of applied art participated in various exhibitions. Besides, her works decorate churches in Russia. Evdokiya conducts master classes, teaching visitors. In 2014, she left St. Petersburg for Sevastopol, where she currently lives with her family.

Panel “My Fatherland” embroidered in the technique of golden ornamental embroidery. It consists of 9 interconnected fragments, each of which is the independent work. The panel is divided into three bands of white, blue and red colors, which is a prototype of the Russian flag. Plant motifs symbolize the richness and originality of the Russian soul, talent, strength, faith and love for the motherland of Russian people. Embroidery is made on natural velvet three colors. Used natural pearls (pink, white, black), a contour – tight gold thread, embroidered with sequins background with gold thread. Was used natural stones: agate, turquoise, jasper, and carnelian.
