Paintings by Anna Razumovskaya
According to Rostov-on-Don born artist Anna Razumovskaya, she did not plan to make a career in the visual arts. But at the age of 17, she entered the Art Department of Rostov State University, obeying the desire of her parents. Meanwhile, it turned out that her parents were right. Anna Razumovskaya has made the right choice, because her diploma work was recognized the best. After graduating from the University in 1991, Razumovskaya went to study in Germany, then in Holland, where the artist studied and mastered the techniques of rare paintings. Later Anna moved to Canada, where she still lives and works.
The main theme of paintings by Anna Razumovskaya are female portraits. In them, she selects palette of colors, woven into a single composite rhythm and passion, and tenderness of these lovely creatures. Through her paintings, you can see another fascinating side of female character – the combination of fragility with strength of character. Perhaps, subconsciously Anna Razumovskaya puts her character into the images she creates. “Quickly, easily, brightly: this is the way I draw, the same way I live. My art is a reflection of my life, a reflection of myself…”
