Mikhail Kolotikhin unique engraving art
Born in 1965, in Ust – Kamenogorsk, Russian artist engraver Mikhail Kolotikhin graduated from the institute, however, not related to art. Meanwhile, the interest for engraving turned from hobby into life craft. Mikhail Kolotikhin performs engraving using a unique technology – on natural skin by burning. In fact, the author perfected the technology, and special techniques of tanned natural leather in conjunction with master’s skills allow to achieve the highest results. Noteworthy, during four years he has produced about 800 large-format works on the masterpieces of the great masters of painting and drawing. Art works by Mikhail Kolotikhin participated in exhibitions, including “Crocus Expo” (Moscow) and other regional Russian exhibitions. Mikhail Kolotikhin is currently living in the southern city of Kislovodsk, Russia.
