Ordinary plasticine turns into a real work of art in the hands of a young and beautiful Anastasia Volkova. Native of Orenburg, she has created a stunning work on the fairy tale of ST Aksakov “The Scarlet Flower”. Graduate of the Orenburg State University, Anastasia Volkova used one hundred boxes of plasticine to create unusual paintings.
After reading a story, she identified eleven major scenes, bought a cardboard measuring 30 by 60 centimeters, five packs of clay (then Nastya had no idea that it would take twenty times more!) and started to work. The first work took a month, the last picture was made for a few sleepless nights. The most difficult was to portray the face and emotions.
Noteworthy, her husband Sergei helps mix different colors to create new shades. Besides, Sergey – the main adviser and critic, actively involved in the work process. In gratitude Nastya captured him on her canvases as a handsome prince. But the model for the main character of the story – a girl with scarlet flower became the artist herself. The image of the merchant has been painted off from her father. A muzzle monster – her fluffy cat.

“When teachers saw my works, they were in a light shock” – recalls her triumph Anastasia – “they passed the painting from hand to hand. Later, they said that this is an original work, which they had never seen before. A representative of selection committee immediately invited me to work. Now I’m a designer in the printing company”.
