Annet Loginova loves pure colors, soft lines, cheerful scenes, which bring a sense of something warm inside.
The name “pastel” comes from the Latin ‘pasta’, ‘dough’. This explains the origin that pastels were made of dough, which includes natural pigments, chalk and binders. But the main secret lies in the fact that an artist who paints a portrait in pastel, has the ability to convey a picture of your hands warm: color strokes blend with your fingers. This contact of a master with with the canvas makes it possible to instill maximum warmth and soul into a work.
Crayons for pastel drawing can be soft and hard (oil, wax). Annet Loginova uses soft pastels by thoroughly crushed clay with the highest quality pigments, which turns pastel into soft, leaving an intense velvety trail. Pastel does not fade in the sun, does not darken or crack even under the influence of significant temperature changes.
In her paintings, Annet Loginova uses pastels from high quality materials with the addition of pigments, clay, oils, chalk and other components. Her pastel is hand-made. Drawing with this material requires the use of special paper with the effect of roughness.
